1980s and 1990s paintings depicted old shops, barns, cafes and architectural details, old doors and windows and abandoned cars.
1998 Peter started his 'Harbour series' paintings. Visiting old boatyards yielded a wonderful range of decaying and battered fishing boats and associated quayside paraphernalia.
2005 Peter made a new series of paintings of collections - stones, beachcombings, mussel shells, conkers, dinky cars, bottles, old lighters. These works gradually morphed into the still life studies set up in the studio of found objects from his vast collection. This more or less brings us up to date and is on going to the present day.
